Caterpillar Room

Caterpillar Room

Caterpillars is our youngest room in which children from 3 months until they reach their second birthday are cared for by two members of staff. The ratios are set by OFSTED and so the maximum number of babies in this room is 6. This ensures that we provide individual personal targeted care for your child.

All parents can pick-up and drop-off between 8am and 6pm. Breakfast is offered on arrival and this consists of a selection of cereals, croissants, or toast. As you would expect any allergies are noted and catered for.

During the morning children will have outdoor time either by playing in the outdoor private garden or a walk with the bus. There will also be a planned learning activity such as messy play depending on the topic of the week.

Lunch is served at 11.30am provided by Slice of Pie who specialise in producing wholesome balanced meals with natural sugars as opposed to refined white sugar. The menus are posted weekly on the website. Once mealtime is over the children brush their teeth and then go to sleep. All children have their own sleep bags that contains a blanket and a sheet that is washed on site regularly.

After waking up the children have a snack of fresh fruit and then can free play, there will be a second outdoor session and another planned activity.

Tea is served at 4pm, a high tea and during autumn/winter both the meals are hot.
